Factors that don’t affect your CIBIL Score

The CIBIL score of your spouse: Since you and your spouse are two distinct people, your credit ratings will differ. Your credit score is in no way defined or impacted by your partner’s ability to borrow money and make payments.

Postpaid mobile bills: A few years ago, the telecom firms intended to notify CIBIL of postpaid bill defaults. The collection agents were instructed to use this to frighten away nonpaying clients. The government, however, disapproved of this. Even now, some agents still employ this tactic to recover unpaid debts.

Utility bills: Your CIBIL score is unaffected by late payments on your power, water, or gas bills. Does this imply that making on-time payments will improve your score? NO, is the answer.

Cheque and ECS bounce : Banks fail to notify CIBIL of bounced checks and ECS transactions.

NOTE : You can get your CIBIL score on your phone for FREE.

Not maintaining minimum balance : In order to continue operating most SB accounts, you must maintain a minimum average balance. When a minimum amount is not kept, the bank typically charges a penalty. They do not, however, submit this to CIBIL.

Your demographics : Your demographic information is limited to your name, contact information, address, and date of birth. Any modification to any of these won’t impact your rating or creditworthiness.

Your earnings : Your ITR is not tracked by CIBIL. They do request your PAN number. This is so that each Indian citizen can only have one PAN number.

Your rent : Rent is typically the largest monthly deduction from your bank account. If you had received some bonus points for paying your rent on time, that would have been good. That is not the case, though. It isn’t monitored.

Your insurance premium payments: Making insurance premium payments has no favourable effects on your CIBIL score. This does not imply that you postpone making premium payments. The coverage may be cancelled if premium payments are delayed.
